Most of my gifs are made with ezGIF! I use 4k Video Downloader or iGram to save videos.

Why is X on your DNI?
They’re either Obviously Bad or make me uncomfortable. Age players especially; having my gifs or boards used in a sexual context makes me feel dirty. :(

Agere is totally fine as long as it's sfw! Please note that I make boards for sources that are dark or otherwise not kid friendly.

How do you watch anime?
I use this site to check if I can stream a series legally. (Though it doesn’t include Hulu for some reason? Weird, it used to.) If I can’t, I torrent it from Nyaa or BakaBT. There are other streaming sites, but they can have ads or viruses, so use caution. Thankfully a lot of fansubs for older series are on YouTube, so check there first!Anime recs are on the next page.

mahou shoujo recommendations

Mahou shoujo is a huge genre, so finding good shows to watch can be complicated! Here is a list of series I believe are worth watching. Kid friendly shows are listed first, with more mature series near the bottom.I’m mainly into magical warrior shows so unfortunately the list is missing older series like Creamy Mami and Minky Momo, but if you like 80’s anime you should definitely check those out too!

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon: A story of a girl who fights evil by moonlight and wins love by daylight. An excellent place to start if you’re new to the genre, or even new to anime. There’s a reboot but I suggest watching the original first.

Cardcaptor Sakura: Gotta Catch ’Em All with a magical girl twist. Full of fun adventures and pretty costumes. A nice show to watch after a tough day.

Precure: The best source of girls who kick butt since 2004. Start with whichever season you want, they’re unrelated except for two sequels. Good starting points: Heartcatch Precure, Smile Precure (pictured), Go! Princess Precure, Star Twinkle Precure.

Tokyo Mew Mew: Girls named after food get powers from the DNA of endangered animals and fight aliens. Surprisingly sci-fi for a magical girl show. My personal fave!

Ojamajo Doremi: Cute witches get into wacky hijinks. Adorable cast and fun magic system. Can get sad.

Princess Tutu: A wonderful series inspired by ballet and fairy tales. Check out the bloopers for a good time.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica: A darker tale about hope and despair. Fantastic music and animation.

Flip Flappers: Two girls go on trippy adventures. Gorgeous visuals and catchy ED.

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt: Raunchy comedy inspired by American animation. Desperately needs a second season. The soundtrack WILL get stuck in your head.

Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku: Battle Royale but with magical girls. Characters have quirky designs and cool abilities. (Heavy depression/suicide warning for this one, especially in the light novel.)

Series I still need to watch that I’ve heard are good: Shoujo Kakumei Utena, Magic Knight Rayearth, Akazukin Chacha, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Sugar Sugar Rune.
